Solar array thermographic INSPECTION
What Does a Solar Array Thermographic Inspection Include?
We recommend a post commissioning thermal report confirming all panels are operating and no defects are present. This base line report will allow for immediate repair or replacement of defective panels or inverters.
Annual or 24 monthly re inspections will ensure the array is functioning and identify any emerging issues that can be addressed under warranty without the loss of solar efficiency over an extended period. Most panels are covered by a 25-year performance warranty which is an industry standard.
The solar panel product warranty should be at least 10 years and is the manufacturer warranty you will rely on if a panel part or completely fails. A failed panel will reduce the efficiency of the entire array and must be replaced as soon as possible.
We also recommend ongoing solar inspections to identify failed cells, panels and inverters. Hail damage can be identified and repaired if covered by your home insurance. Our reports form the basis of your claim, and we can re inspect post rectification to ensure the contractor has completed the work.
We have a variety of inspection packages available, Commission only, Commission plus -12 month follow up inspection and a One-off fault inspection.
If you suspect something has gone wrong, please have your solar installation inspected before installation or product warranties expire, worse your supplier/installer disappears.
We are certified thermographers following the standard for infrared inspection of installed PV systems so you can be assured the assessment will be accurate allowing you to direct the installer or insurer with confidence.
